Predrag Nikolic

Dean of the Faculty of Digital Production at Educons University Serbia and Senior Research Fellow at Imagineering Institute Malaysia

Professor Dr Predrag K Nikolic is Dean of the Faculty of Digital Production at EDUCONS University Serbia, visiting professor at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design Norway and Senior Research Fellow at the Imagineering Institute, Iskandar Malaysia.
He is interaction designer, interactive media artists and proven record digital media executive who holds PhD in Digital Media – Interaction Design and Master in Business Administration. His research focus is on Smart Cities Design, Usage of Interactive Everyday Objects in Smart Living Environments and Design for Behavioral Changes. He tries to explore connection between interactivity, multi-sensory perception and creativity and how to implement it in future multimodal interface design strategies and contribute to further development of human-centered living environments and social innovations.
Besides his academic, he also has a very dynamic digital creative industry career through which he worked as senior executive for Yahoo, Ogilvy Group, Grey Worldwide and J. Walter Thompson and lead online media initiatives for clients such as: CSA, IBM, Telenor, The Coca-Cola Company, Nestle, KRAFT, MARS, H&M, Credit Agricole Bank and many others.
He actively participate in Danube Region academic and education initiatives as one of the partners in Danube Academic Consortium (DAC).

Eduardo Tomé made his PhD in Economics in 2001 and is currently teaching at Universidade Europeia University in Lisbon. He published 39 papers in peer-reviewed Journals, published 7 chapters in books, coordinated 3 Special Issues and presented 71 papers in International Conferences. He also lead the organization of five well attended international conferences in the intangibles domain:  MSKE 2009, ECKM 2010, MSKE 2011M UFHRD 2012 and TAKE 2016. His main interests are intangibles encompassing different aspects of the phenomenon as Human Resource Development, Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital, Social Policies and even Economic Integration. 

Juraj Hostak, EY

Juraj is EY’s Smart City Coordinator for CSE region and consultant of the newly established InnovEYtion Centre. He specializes in innovation strategies in public and private sector, Smart City services (regions and cities), PPP solution with industry and local innovative ecosystem. One of his activities at EY is helping public administration as well as companies of all sizes to adopt new technologies and trends, innovating services and products, rendering optimization of processes, higher resource efficiencies and ultimately increasing competitiveness and sustainable growth.


Juraj has experience with innovation policy on national and EU level, helping set and fulfil priorities of Slovakia as Presidency of the EU. As advisor at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Juraj helped establish various PPP collaboration projects, namely in Smart Industry and Smart Energy, and cooperated with the European Commission in activities focusing on digital transformation of cities and industries, startups and scaleups, and stakeholder participation.
